Samuel Harper

As a young unexperienced teenager, my career was about to start as an electrician when both of my parents stepped in and suggested that I should look at a crash course in catering. Considering, at the time both my parents were working in the catering industry, I still thought it was and odd thing to say, sadly my mother is no longer with us, but that voice is ringing in my ear “people will always need to eat.”

Thirty-four years later and it is good to know people are still eating my food. It all started at the 5*Mayfair hotel which proved a very good grounding for me, from there onto other restaurants/hotels a year in the south of France being called “roast beef” every day, then back to the UK where I’m now settled with a wife and two daughters who aren’t looking at becoming chefs, I did say “do remember people will always need to eat.”
