The Leathersellers’
The Leathersellers began as tradesmen in medieval London, dealing in the production and sale of light leather goods and prepared hides, which were sold in Leadenhall Market. In 1444, the Leathersellers were granted their first Royal Charter, which cost £10. The company still acts as a benefactor and advocate for the leather industry. It is also proud to maintain its long tradition of charitable and educational activities. The newest Hall, designed by Eric Parry RA in a contemporary style, opened in 2016 and incorporates many features from the previous Hall. A major feature of the large Dining Hall is a tapestry designed by Victoria Crowe.
