National Liberal Club
Overlooking the Thames, the National Liberal Club offers its members an oasis of calm and comfort in the heart of Westminster. The club was designed and built by Sir Alfred Waterhouse and founded in 1882 by William Gladstone. David Lloyd George and Winston Churchill have been members, along with other noted Liberal Party members over the years. The National Liberal Club was created not just for some of the world's most eminent statesmen, but for all backgrounds and ethnicities, and was the first of London's major 'gentlemen's clubs' to admit women. The NLC believes in celebrating difference and enjoying life, and proudly boasts to be 'the most inclusive club in London.' Jonathan joined the club in late 2021 and embraced this ethos through his cooking style. The food produced from Jonathan's kitchen has an eclectic feel to it, drawing on influences from all over the world while still retaining some of the traditional club staples you would expect.
