Simon Convers
Simon came to cooking as a career later in life, having attended University in Durham and then spending 10 years working in the The City, where he was a frequent guest and diner at various clubs including Brooks’s, The Saville Club and the Lansdowne Club. He abandoned suits and city life aged 30 and retrained as a chef with stints at Petersham Nurseries and The Petersham in Covent Garden. He spent 3 months working with Jason Atherton on the BBC TV series “The Chef’s Brigade” which saw him touring Europe and competing in elite, Michelin Star kitchens in Bergen, Cadiz, San Sebastian, Lac du Bourget and Paris, before returning to London to take up the role of Head Chef at Vinoteca winery and bistro in Marylebone. Simon joined Buck’s Club as Head Chef in June 2020 and enjoys being in the kitchen of such an establishment even more than he once enjoyed frequenting them.
